Albany and Dougherty County Police/Fire/EMS reports – Dec. 23, 2014

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 48 incidents on Saturday, Sunday and the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) on the 500 block of Radium Springs Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 2500 block of Nottingham Way and on the 2300 block of Threadneedle Court;

— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 3000 block of Kensington Court and on the first block of Sutton Place;

— Wanted person on the 200 block of West Tift Avenue and on the 2500 block of Buckingham Court;

— Terroristic threats and acts on the 600 block of West Society Avenue;

— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 1900 block of South Riverview Circle and on the 3100 block of Wax Myrtle Lane;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft by taking on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and on the 900 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Recovered stolen vehicle on the 1200 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Possession of a controlled substance on the 600 block of West Society Avenue;

— Harassing phone calls on the 1500 block of East First Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 1200 block of Baker Avenue;

— Driving under a suspended license on the 1000 block of West Lincoln Avenue;

— Giving a false name on the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Simple battery on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 800 block of South Slappey Boulevard and on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Financial transaction card theft on the 1400 block of Oakridge Drive and on the 1700 block of Gillionville Road;

— Open container on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;

— Battery on the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and on the 800 block of Odom Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 10 calls on Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Burglary (residence) on the 3000 block of East Park Court;

— Auto accident at the intersection of Beattie Road and Gillionville Road;

— Theft by taking on the 1500 block of Moultrie Road;

— Contact person on the 4800 block of Impala Lane;

— Suspicious person on the 1600 block of Dorough Avenue;

— EMS assistance on the 3500 block of Fleming Road;

— Family violence on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;

— Suspicious auto on the 700 block of Henson Drive;

— Assist motorist on the 3900 block of Radium Springs Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 14 calls Friday through Sunday, available reports show. The incidents included animal rescues, unauthorized burnings, EMS assistance, shorted electrical equipment, cooking fires and vehicle accidents.
