Terrell Humane Society plans yard sale

DAWSON — The Humane Society of Terrell County is seeking donations from the public to help cats and kittens in foster homes. The society will also be conducting a fundraiser yard sale in Albany on Friday and Saturday.

The Humane Society says that the needed items include fleece blankets and towels; food and water bowls; kitty litter (clumping); dry food for cats and kittens (Purina Cat?Kitten Chow is preferred, but other brands appreciated); cleaning products such as paper towels, disinfectant spray, sanitizing wipes and bleach cleanser, and gift cards to stores that carry any of the needed items. Donations are tax deductible and receipts can be obtained by contacting (229) 995-7845.

The fundraiser yard sale will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at 1314 5th Ave in Albany. The Terrell County group also is accepting donations for that yard sale. HSTC officials say 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to its mission of helping the pets of HSTC find homes and for providing medical care for those pets that require it.

Those who wish to donate may call (229) 343-7994, email at [email protected] or visit the organization’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/66143459885.
