Former President Jimmy Carter is expected to teach Sunday school on Easter Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains. The lesson will begin at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and an orientation session is planned at 9 a.m. Sunday.
EVENTS
Former University of Alabama football player Caleb Castille will be guest speaker at Sherwood Baptist Church at 9:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Castille plays the lead character in the upcoming movie “Woodlawn: Dare to Believe.” The film is expected to be released this fall. Castille played on back-to-back national championship teams at Alabama. His father, Jeremiah, and his two older brothers, Tim and Simeon, also played at Alabama and went on the play in the National Football League. Sherwood is located at 2201 Whispering Pines Road.
Arcadia Missionary Baptist Church will host its Mission Ministry Anniversary at 11 a.m. on April 15. The Rev. Ronnie W. Arrington of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church will bring the message. The church is located at 1214 N. Jackson St.
Poulan Free Will Baptist Church will host revival services Monday-Thursday featuring David Wolf as guest preacher. Also, the church will observe homecoming at 11 a.m. on April 11 with Marshell Kennedy preaching. The church is located at the end of Church Street in Poulan.
Greater Fellowship Christian Ministries Church and Pastor Thomas Rivers will be celebrating their third anniversary at 2 p.m. on Sunday with Berachah Fellowship Church in Albany in charge of the program. For additional information, call (229) 439-2568.
Trumpet of God Ministries and Training Center will celebrate its 15th anniversary with services at 7 p.m. on April 10 and April 12. On April 10, Apostle Jonas Clark of Spirit of Life Ministries in Hallandale, Fla. will conduct the service. Apostle Terrell Murphy of Life Center International in Charlotte, N.C., will lead the service on April 12. The church is located at 600 Pine Ave.
