Albany – Dougherty Police/Fire/EMS reports – July 22 – 23, 2015

ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 24 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. Incidents included:

— Runaway juvenile on the 1300 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 3100 block of Fernridge Drive, the 600 block of West Society Avenue, the 1300 block of South Van Buren Street and the 1100 block of Newton Road;

— Possession of synthetic marijuana on the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Theft by taking on the 1200 block of East Society Avenue, the 300 block of West Mercer Avenue, the 400 block of West 3rd Avenue and the 1400 block of Eager Drive;

— Possession of marijuana on the the 600 block of West Society Avenue;

— Financial transaction card fraud on the 500 block of West Society Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 200 block of East Road and the 300 block of Elsom Street;

— Loitering on the 2200 block of South Washington Street;

— Burglary on the 400 block of Bobbitt Drive;

— Entering auto on the 1200 block of Netherland Lane and the 1500 block of Estelle Street;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— No working brake lights on the the 2500 block of South Jackson Street;

— Missing person on the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;

— Wanted person on the 500 block of 9th Avenue;

— Family violence on the 1100 block of Moultrie Road.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 26 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. Incidents included:

— Tree limb blocking road on the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road and Clark Avenue;

— Suspicious person on the 2300 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Intoxicated person on the 3000 block of War Eagle Drive;

— Entering auto on the 700 block of Holly Drive;

— Animal call on the 300 block of Branch Road and the 500 block of South County Line Road;

— Assist to motorist on the 400 block of Philema Road and the 500 block of Southgate Avenue;

— Recovered property on the 1200 block of Whispering Pines Road;

— Auto accident on the 500 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Criminal trespass on the 3600 block of Radial Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;

— Downed wires on the 900 block of Branch Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 15 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. Incidents included downed power lines, flood assessment, smoldering wallboard, burning tree, shorted electrical equipment, lamp ballast breakdown, scorch burns, shorted electrical equipment and smoke detector activation.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 67 various medical calls on Tuesday, available reports show. Incidents include 11 miscellaneous pain complaints, two respiratory issues, two mental health issues, six chest pain complaints, four faintings, one altered mental status calls, one cardiac arrest, and 27 various medical calls.

Trauma calls included ten auto accident victims, four falls, one laceration, one assault and one gunshot victim.

Other type calls included one medical alert assistance.
