ALBANY — An Albany man was shot in the leg late Thursday by an unidentified gunman, police officials say. Witnesses told officers of the Albany Police Department that Joshua Sayer, 26, was walking northbound on Van Deman Street when he yelled that he’d been shot.

Officers and EMS made contact with the victim at Clark’s Service Station, 912 Moultrie Road, officials say, and Sayer was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment of his wounds. On Friday hospital officials said Sayer’s condition was listed as good.

Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, said no arrests have been made in the case.
