Albany police arrest man suspected in two recent stabbings

ALBANY – A suspect in two stabbings that occurred during the past week has been arrested and faces aggravated assault and other charges.
Antonio Seay, 34, left a 4-year-old child behind at one of the stabbing scenes, according to the Albany Police Department, and is being held in the Dougherty CountyJail.
Seay was arrested on Monday after police investigating a report of a stabbing in the 700 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive. The female victim, who was found in a car, was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Memorial Hospital with severe wounds.
Seay later returned to the location, where he was arrested.
On Saturday,l police said, Seay attacked a 34-year-old man in the 100 block of Richard Avenue. After stabbing the victim multiple times Seay broke off the attack when the victim’s brother fired a gun at him.
Seay left the child behind when he left the scene, police said.
He was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault (domestic violence), two counts of possession of certain weapons during the commission of a crime and cruelty to a child.
Seay was released from prison in September 2024 and had failed to report to probation causing him to have an active probation violation warrant for his arrest at the time he was taken into custody.
