ALBANY — This November, Albany Technical College is making it easier than ever to enroll by waiving all application fees for prospective students throughout the month, encouraging first time students, adult learners and returning students to apply for the spring 2025 semester.

With classes starting on Jan. 8, ATC is offering flexible weekend and evening course options, designed to support adult learners balancing work, family, and educational goals.

“ATC’s spring 2025 enrollment offers more flexibility, especially for working adults and students who began but didn’t finish a credential,” Albany Tech President Emmett Griswold said in a news release. “Through convenient scheduling, application wavier through the month of November, and mobile recruitment with our new MEDSTART X vehicle, we’re here to reach and empower more individuals to start and/or re-enter technical education and transform their future.

“By providing tailored programs for working adults, we’re committed to meeting students where they are and helping them achieve their career and educational dreams.”

The spring 2025 semester includes weekend courses in general core and Criminal Justice, evening classes for Cosmetology, and numerous programs with hybrid (online and in-person) formats. Some programs are even available 100% online, ideal for those with demanding schedules who need added flexibility to achieve their educational goals.

In addition, Albany Technical College’s short-term programs offer accelerated certificate courses tailored to provide immediate skills for today’s job market, helping students quickly enter or advance in high-demand fields. ATC’s programs are affordable and flexible, making them ideal for career advancement and retraining opportunities.

Prospective students can take advantage of Free App November and start their applications online at albanytech.edu or contact the college’s admissions office at (229) 430-3500. With expanded course offerings and a commitment to student success, Albany Technical College officials say they are here to help students achieve big results through targeted programs and flexible learning options.
