The $10.8 million, 22,344-square-foot academy will house cutting-edge labs, classrooms, and industry-standard equipment to support hands-on learning. The facility features modern tools, lifts, interactive trainers, paint and prep booths, locker rooms, and dedicated faculty offices, reinforcing ATC’s commitment to work force development and economic growth in southwest Georgia.

Albany Technical College President Emmett Griswold emphasized the importance of this facility in meeting the region’s work force demands.

“With this new part of the academy, we are equipping students with hands-on experience in an industry-driven environment,” Harrell said. “Integrating advanced training technology will ensure that our graduates are ready to step into the work force right here in southwest Georgia with the skills that employers need today.”
