Book signing for Albany podiatrist Dr. Simone Josey set for May 16 has new location, time change

ALBANY — A book signing scheduled for May 16 that was initially going to be held at Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany now has a new location and time.
Dr. Simone Josey, author of “More Than Medicine: What They Don’t Teach You in Medical, MA, Nursing, or PA School,” is hosting a reception from noon-2 p.m. on May 16 at Smoke and Fire restaurant at 2610 Gillionville Road.
The event was initially scheduled to take place on the base from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
A surgical podiatrist working at the Veterans Affairs clinic on the base, Josey discusses in the book the social aspects of patient care and how that aspect can be better incorporated into physician practices.
