Burglary suspect caught inside store faces additional charges, Albany police say

ALBANY – Albany police say they caught a burglar red-handed, taking him into custody on Nov. 24 while he was still inside a store where officers were dispatched to respond to an alarm.

When the officers arrived at the 1515 Radium Springs Road Dollar General store they found Jesse Kurtavious Frazier inside, according to police.

An hour later they were alerted to another break-in that had occurred prior to Frazier’s arrest, at the nearby Food Lion store at 1511 Radium Springs Road. Video footage taken from the grocery store indicated that Frazier is also responsible for that break-in, police said. Several recent burglaries in the area showed a similar pattern of the targeted stores having the power meter boxes damaged to cut the power supply.

Frazier, 42, was charged with smash-and-grab burglary, burglary, criminal damage to property and possession of tools to commit a crime. Additional charges are pending.
