BAINBRIDGE — The grand opening of the first Wawa store in Georgia is scheduled here starting at 8 a.m. Nov. 14. The event will include free coffee, giveaways, a ribbon-cutting and events supporting local nonprofits.

Wawa Director of Store Operations Nancy Dulaney, Area Manager Angela Reynolds and General Manager Matthew Murphy will be part of the opening ceremony as the mostly Pennsylvania and East Coast-based convenience store expands into Georgia.

T-shirts will be given to the store’s first 250 customers, as long as supplies last.

The store opening in Bainbridge will be followed by two additional stores scheduled to open in Brunswick and Jesup by the end of 2024. Over the next 5-8 years, Wawa plans to build and open 26-plus stores in southern and coastal Georgia, opening three to four stores per year. One is planned for Leesburg as well.

The Bainbridge Wawa is located at 1401 Tallahassee Highway.
