ALBANY — AB&T announced the election of Maggie Lewis as a bank officer following the Board of Directors’ unanimous decision.

“Maggie has earned this promotion to the position of bank officer, recognizing her exceptional work ethic and her consistent willingness to assume additional responsibilities.,” Matt Rushton, the president at AB&T, said. “Maggie brings extensive experience in client service, crafting tailored solutions combined with an uncanny ability to communicate clearly.

“Given her drive for excellence and commitment to her clients, she will be an asset to not only the bank but also our community in her new role.”

Lewis has been an integral part of the AB&T team for more than eight years, starting her journey on the CSR desk. With her achievements in the mortgage department, initially as a loan processor and later as a mortgage loan originator, Lewis has demonstrated her ability to thrive in a challenging mortgage market. In recent months, she has managed a commercial loan and deposit portfolio while continuing to excel in mortgage origination.

Recognizing Lewis’ skills and her significant value to AB&T, bank officials said they were delighted to announce her new joint role as a mortgage loan originator/relationship banker. In this expanded capacity, she will assume responsibility for managing and expanding our commercial loan portfolio. She will also actively seek to foster and strengthen client relationships, ensuring long-term satisfaction.

Lewis also will continue her vital role in originating mortgages for clients, officials said.
