Clay Banks has been elected as the 2014-15 chairman of the Georgia Poultry Federation.
Banks, who was elected during the association’s annual meeting at Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, is general manager of Keystone Foods in Camilla. He succeeds Donnie Wilburn, Harrison Poultry, Bethlehem.
Banks is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Poultry Science. He began his career in the poultry industry with Seaboard Farms and joined Keystone Foods in 2002. Banks was promoted to the general manager position at Keystone’s Camilla operation in 2005.
As general manager, he is responsible for all operations in the Camilla complex, including a hatchery, feed mill, grow out, processing plant and a further processing plant. He is a long-time supporter of the Georgia Poultry Federation having served as a member of the Federation Board of Directors since 2007.
