DAWSON – Terrell County welcomed the new business Dawson Metal Co. to town with an Oct. 17 ribbon-cutting that was followed by a celebration featuring lunch, tours and community festivities.

Owned and operated by the Atkins brothers – Bob, Billy, Rowe and Davis — with Shelley Murray as office manager, Dawson Metal brings top-quality metal roofing, trim, and more to both residents and contractors.

The opening marked an exciting new chapter in Dawson’s growing business community, according to the Terrell County Chamber of Commerce. The event drew a crowd of local leaders, community members, and business owners, all there to welcome Dawson Metal Co. to Terrell County.

Representatives from the company, joined by their families, county and city officials, and the chamber, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the start of the new journey.

Guests were treated to tours of the facility, offering an inside look at Dawson Metal Co.’s dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and quality. Attendees shared their optimism for the positive economic and community impact the new venture is expected to create.
