DAWSON — After more than 30 years of coaching high school football, Terrell Academy coach Bill Murdock is never lacking when it comes to telling a story.
Murdock, who also serves as the school’s headmaster, tried to paint a positive spin on last season’s 3-7 finish.
“You’ve got to overcome adversity … it’s part of life,” Murdock told his team at a recent practice. “High school football, how many kids are going to go on and play pro football down the road? They learn life lessons they can take with them. Overcoming the adversity we had last year is part of it.

“We’ve told them that they’re going to face a lot tougher things in life than being out at a hot football practice.”
