ALBANY – Lovers are invited to celebrate their love this Valentine’s season with an evening of soulful melodies and unforgettable performances at “A Night For Lovers with KEM and Lalah Hathaway.” The highly anticipated concert will take place Feb. 13 at the Albany Civic Center.

KEM, a cornerstone of Motown’s legacy, has captivated fans worldwide with his soulful grooves, mesmerizing vocals, and deeply emotional lyrics. Rising from the challenges of addiction and homelessness, KEM has become a beacon of hope and resilience. With eight acclaimed albums, eight No. 1 singles, more than a billion streams, and four Grammy nominations, his music has drawn comparisons to legends like Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye. KEM’s inspiring journey, detailed in the 2023 best-selling memoir “Share My Life: A Journey of Love, Faith, and Redemption,” continues to uplift audiences through his artistry and global platform.

Sharing the stage with KEM is Lalah Hathaway, daughter of soul legend Donny Hathaway. Known for her velvety contralto and seamless blend of R&B, jazz, and pop, Lalah has carved a legacy all her own. A three-time consecutive Grammy winner for her work with artists like Snarky Puppy and Robert Glasper, Hathaway has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music. With classic albums like “Lalah Hathaway Live” and collaborations with Mary J. Blige and Esperanza Spalding, she brings an unmatched artistry and authenticity to the stage.

This show promises to be a soul-stirring experience, celebrating the universal themes of love, connection and hope through music. Whether you’re a long-time fan of KEM and Lalah Hathaway or discovering their sounds for the first time, this Valentine’s season concert is not to be missed.
