Albany and Dougherty County Police/Fire/EMS reports — April 5-6, 2016

ALBANY POLICE DEPARTMENT — The APD responded to at least 17 incidents from Tuesday to early Wednesday, according to available reports.
Among the incidents were:
— Theft by taking on the 600 of Dorsett Avenue, and the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard.
— Deceased person on the 2400 block of South Jackson Street.
— Shoplifting on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard.
— Criminal trespass on the 200 block of Pine Bluff Road, and on the 1100 block of Newton Road.
— Burglary first degree on the 800 block of South Street, and the 900 block of North Van Buren Street.
— Simple battery/family violence on the 200 block of Barton Avenue.
— Handgun possession on the 2000 block of Clark Avenue.
— Forgery third degree on the 300 block of West Broad Avenue.
— Open container on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
— Aggravated assault on the 500 block of Emily Avenue.
— Suspended license on200 block of South Jefferson.
DOUGHERTY COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT — The DCPD responded to at least 23 calls and incidents between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, according to available reports.
Among the calls were:
— Traffic stop/recovered property at Redbud Road and Cherry Laurel Lane.
— Wanted person on the 4800 block of Mustang Drive.
— Suspicious vehicle on the 4800 block of Newton Road.
— Fraud on the 3600 block of Slade Avenue.
— Family violence on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road, and the 200 block of Nottingham Drive.
— Burglary on the 2500 block of Imperial Street.
— Drunk person on the 4400 block of Stagecoach Road.
— Suspicious person on the 3200 block of Sylvester Highway.
The department also responded to six burglary false alarm calls.
ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT — The AFD responded to 13 incidents from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday, According to available reports. Among the incidents were:
— Animal rescue on the 1200 block of Westwood Drive.
— Excessive heat/scorch marks on the 2700 block of Pointe North Boulevard.
— Unauthorized burning on the 700 block of 16th Avenue, and the 1705 block of South Jefferson Street.
— Heat from short circuit on the 1800 block of Sycamore Court.
— Motor vehicle accident on the 300 block of Sylvester Highway.
— Passenger vehicle fire on the 1400 block of South Slappey Boulevard.
— Medical assist on the 3700 block of Parr Road.
— EMS call on the 900 block of South Harding Street.
DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE — The Dougherty EMS responded to 71 calls on Tuesday, 48 medical calls, 19 trauma calls and four other type calls, according to available reports
The majority of the medical calls were: five chest pain issues, five miscellaneous pain issues, four respiratory issues, three seizure issues, two diabetic issues, two mental health issues, two cardiac arrest issues, one faint issue, one altered mental status issue, one stroke issue and 21 other various medical issues.
The trauma calls included nine auto accident victims, none falls and one assault.
