Attorneys Michael Eric Hooper and R. Lee Brown Jr. with the law firm Moore, Clarke, DuVall & Rogers P.C. recently received leadership appointments with the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia, respectively.
Hooper, a partner in the firm’s Albany office who specializes in tax law, trusts and estates, corporations and partnerships, was chosen to serve as a member of the Community Outreach Committee for the Real Property, Trust and Estate Section of the American Bar Association and also was appointed as vice chair of the Economics and Technology of the Practice Committee.
Brown, also an associate in the firm’s Albany office specializing in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and banking, was appointed by the State Bar of Georgia to serve as a member of the Georgia Bar Journal Editorial Board for a three-year term.

The accounting firm of Draffin and Tucker LLP recently welcomed new associates Tyler Rose and Savannah Spraggings.
Rose joins the firm as an associate accountant in its health care practice, where he will focus on audits and taxes. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree in Accounting and a master of accountancy degree in Taxation.
Spraggins also joins the firm as an associate accountant in the firm’s health care practice, where she will focus on audits. She is a graduate of Auburn University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting.
Not for Profit
Former Albany resident Karen Kemp recently joined Lighthouse Counsel as an Atlanta-based senior consultant, where she will provide leadership for the firm through revitalizing strategies and helping board members and staff meet a wide variety of revenue development and strategic planning challenges.
Kemp has more than 20 years of experience as a nonprofit professional, including serving as CEO for several South Georgia nonprofits. She attended the University of Georgia and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Georgia State University.
