This event taps into the rich history of artisan glass-blowing in Americus and combines it with Georgia’s innovative craft brewing culture. Each ticket will allow entry into the event, a commemorative tasting glass, and seven tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased at the event. Non-drinking tickets can be purchased online or at the gate for only $5. Three local restaurants will also be on site. Live music will be played by The Plucktones, and Pickled Holler will be featured.

Weekend performances last for ‘Big Fish’
LEESBURG — Lee County High School Theatre Art Guild and Palladium Players close the epic story of “Big Fish” Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. in the Clay Auditorium at Lee County High School.
“The reaction from the opening weekend was overwhelming,” said play director Dotty Davis. “When you finally put the show in front of a live audience, you remember how wonderful it was the first time you read it. It is funny, it is heartbreaking and it tells the true story of a father and son. This show should not be missed.”
The show marks the return of the high school’s annual town-and-gown musical during which the community is invited to audition. The cast is filled with various combinations of families telling the bigger-than-life story of Edward Bloom. More than 40 actors comprise the cast, and 10 high school students serve as production technicians.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and children. They will be available beginning at 6 p.m. at the LCHS Theatre box office the days of the play.
