CARTER SCHEDULE
President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia Highway 45 North, Plains. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. The church building opens at 7:30 a.m. Please note Carter’s schedule is subject to change. Visit the church website at www.mbcplains.org.
SPECIAL EVENTS
St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, St. Mark Road, in Weston, invites the public to their pastor’s second anniversary Service, which will be held June 3 at 2 p.m.
The guest evangelist for the ceremony will be Rev. Ronald G. Wilson Sr., along with special music from the New Hope Baptist Church Choir and auxiliaries of Preston. Morning worship service is at 11 a.m.
REVIVALS
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Trotman Road in Lumpkin, and Pastor Jimmie Lee Crimes invite the public to join the church and its congregation as they celebrate Mt. Pleasant’s annual revival services June 18-22 at 7:30 each evening. The evangelist for the week is the Rev. Kegler, pastor of the Benevolence Baptist Church in Randolph County. The church also will welcome visitors to its June 24 11 a.m. worship service. Sunday school is at 10 a.m.
