ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 21 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Battery on the 2200 block of East Broad Avenue and the 400 block of Alice Avenue;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 1100 block of Newton Road and the 2700 block of Dawson Road;
— Criminal damage to property on the 400 block of Heard Avenue, the 2500 block of Barnesdale Way and the 300 block of South Jackson Street;
— Disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Hobson Street, the 1800 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 1100 block of Clark Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 1600 block of Gardner Drive, the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 200 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 1900 block of Colquitt Avenue;
— Burglary on the 1400 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 300 block of Station Crossing Drive, the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 1600 block of Gardner Drive;
— Aggravated assaults on the 900 block of Faulk Court and the 600 block of West Residence Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 12 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Accidental hit and run on the 2500 block of Fleming Road;
— Motor vehicle thefts on the 400 block of Hollis Drive and the 4600 block of Palm Avenue;
— Speeding auto on the 2500 block of Hancock Road;
— Disorderly conduct on the 1200 block of Williamsburg Road;
— Family violence on the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Auto accident with injuries on the 3600 block of Spring Flats Road;
— Burglar alarm on the 4400 block of Acree Avenue;
— Wanted person on the 4600 block of Palm Avenue;
— Burglary on the 6000 block of Elliot Drive;
— Harassing phone call on the 3000 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Animal at large on the 300 block of Leary Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Assist police department on the 1600 block of McArthur Street;
— Garbage truck fire on the 1000 block of Spring Hill Drive;
— Cooking fires on the 500 block of Fifth Avenue and the 1300 block of Edgerly Avenue;
— Building fire on the 800 block of Colquitt Circle;
— Unauthorized burning on the 800 block of South Street;
— EMS assists on the 2200 block of Greenoch Avenue and the 1100 block of East Second Avenue.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 71 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included two abdominal pain calls, one altered mental state call, one assault call, nine breathing problem calls, two cardiac arrest calls, three chest pain calls, one choking call, one eye injury call, four fall victim calls, 20 general sickness calls, three headache calls, two hemorrhage calls, four medical alarm calls, one overdose call, one pain call, one pregnancy call, one mental health call, one stroke call, nine auto accident victim calls, two traumatic injury calls, one party unconscious call and three unknown problem calls.
