ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 28 calls on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and early Monday, available reports show. Incidents included:
— Arching, shorted electrical equipment on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Unauthorized burning on the 700 block of River Chase Lane, the 1600 block of Pineview Avenue and the 400 block of Bush Street;
— Downed power line on the 400 block of Gaines Avenue and the 2200 block of Dawson Road;
— Alarm activation on the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 1400 block of West Oakridge Drive and the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Smoke detector activation on the 2600 block of East Doublegate Drive and the 2200 block of Habersham Road;
— Motor vehicle accident on the 4800 block of Pinto Drive, the 600 block of Radium Springs Road and the intersection of Nottingham Way and Liberty Expressway;
— Emergency medical assistance on the 1500 block of Palmyra Road and the 2300 block of Joel Drive;
— Passenger vehicle fire on the 3400 block of Plantation Drive;
— Authorized controlled burn on the 500 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Water, steam leak on the 1200 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Brush fire at the intersection of Barkley Boulevard and Hobson Street.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 62 calls on Sunday, available reports show.
The medical calls included seven chest pains, one abdominal pain/problem, one headache, 10 respiratory issues, 19 general sicknesses, one altered mental status, two strokes, one obstetrics issue, one seizure and three abnormal behaviors/suicide attempts.
The trauma calls included one overdose, two auto accidents, five falls and three assaults. The other calls included two stand-by calls for the APD, one transport and two medical alert activations.
