ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 15 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Simple battery on the 700 block of South Madison Street, the 800 block of West Whitney Avenue and the 100 block of Force Drive;
— Entering autos on the 2000 and 2100 blocks of Tompkins Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 200 block of Thornton Drive and the 3200 block of Fernridge Drive;
— Burglaries on the 300 block of Station Crossing Drive and the 1700 block of Whispering Pines Road;
— Speeding on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on the 2200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Simple assault on the 100 block of Almond Drive;
— Interfering with a city officer on the 600 block of West Society Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 2300 block of North Slappey Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 16 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Suspicious persons on the 4300 block of Sylvester Highway, the 300 block of Hollis Drive and the 100 block of Bramblewood Street;
— Suspicious autos at the intersection of Harris Road and County Line Road, the 400 block of Dunbar Lane and the 3200 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Building check on the 2200 block of Duitman Road;
— Animal call on the 1700 block of Wildflower Lane;
— Theft by taking on the 600 block of Holly Drive;
— Assault on the 100 block of Northeast Rosewood Drive;
— Personal welfare check on the 2500 block of College Park Lane;
— Theft on the 200 block of Ramsey Road;
— DUI at the intersection of the Liberty Expressway and Nelms Road;
— Escort on the 2700 block of Home Drive;
— Residential burglary on the 500 block of Pine Bluff Road;
— Family violence on the 2800 block of Astoria Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Medical assists on the 1500 block of Maryland Drive and the the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Building fires on the 200 block of East Road and the 200 block of Marie Road;
— Power line down on the 1600 block of Pineknoll Lane;
— EMS call, excluding vehicle, on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Unauthorized burning on the 1800 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Arching, electrical short on the 300 block of South Jackson Street.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 72 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included eight chest pain calls, eight miscellaneous pain calls, seven respiratory issue calls, four cardiac arrest calls, one diabetic issue call and 24 various medical calls. Trauma calls included five falls, four auto accident victims and three gunshot victims. Other types of calls included four medical alert assistance calls and two calls for assistance for the Albany Fire Department.
