ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 30 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Battery on the 500 block of Cherry Avenue;
— Simple battery, family violence, on the 200 block of Thornton Drive, the 1600 block of Whisperwood Street, the 1000 block of Crawford Drive, the 2800 block of Schley Avenue, the 1900 block of Cobblestone Court and the 500 block of Swift Street;
— Criminal trespass on the 900 block of Ninth Avenue, the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue, the 100 block of Philema Road, the 700 block of Ninth Avenue, the 1200 block of West Second Avenue, the 1600 block of Jones Avenue and the 700 block of Wheeler Avenue;
— Entering autos on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue, the 1300 block of Bayhill Lane and the 1900 block of Robinhood Road;
— Thefts by taking on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Disorderly conduct on the 500 block of Corn Avenue and the 1100 block of 11th Avenue;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 1900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Child molestation on West Residence Avenue;
— Aggravated assaults, family violence, on the 300 block of South Mock Road and the 500 block of South Van Buren Street;
— Missing person on the 800 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— First-degree burglary on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;
— Financial transaction card fraud on the 600 block of West Residence Avenue;
— Terroristic threats and acts on the 1600 block of Jean Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 10 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1000 block of River Pointe Drive;
— Miscellaneous property damage on the 1500 block of South Mock Road;
— Theft by taking on the 700 block of McCollum Road;
— Juvenile problem on the 300 block of Old Pretoria Road;
— Suspicious persons on the 400 block of Honeysuckle Drive and the 3800 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Assist motorist on the corner of the Liberty Expressway Southeast and Nelms Road;
— Family violence on the 3000 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Speeding auto on the 3700 block of Gravel Hill Road;
— Suspicious auto on the 2600 block of Great Oak Street.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least six calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Outside trash fire on the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive;
— Water or steam leak on the 3000 block of War Eagle Drive;
— Motor vehicle accidents on the corner of Edison Drive and East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 2900 block of Meredyth Drive;
— Unauthorized burning on the 300 block of Elsom Street;
— Medical assist on the 500 block of Porter Lane.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 70 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included three chest pain calls, one abdominal pain/problem call, one lift assist call, one headache call, two unknown/man down calls, 15 respiratory issue calls, 14 general sickness calls, one fainting call, three altered mental status calls, one stroke calls, one OB call, two seizure calls, three abnormal behavior/suicide attempt calls and two cardiac arrest/death calls. Trauma calls included two overdose calls, two auto accident calls, six falls, one laceration call, five assault calls and one gunshot victim/stab call. Other calls included two local transports and one medical alert activation.
