ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 12 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Burglary on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 1000 block of Blakely Court, the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue and the 900 block of Willow Wood Drive;
— Thefts by taking on the 400 block of West Broad Avenue, the 1600 block of Acker Drive, the 1800 block of Barnesdale Way and the 200 block of West Residence Avenue;
— Battery on the 600 block of 12th Avenue, the 1300 block of Avalon Avenue, the 700 block of North Jackson Street and the 300 block of South Mock Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 13 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Assist motorist on the 1100 block of Old Pretoria Road;
— Traffic stops on the 3100 block of Sylvester Highway and the 3900 block of Newton Road;
— Auto accidents at the intersection of North County Line Road and Sylvester Highway and the 4800 block of Pinto Drive;
— Auto accident with injuries on the 600 block of Cordele Road;
— Bank escort on the 700 block of Philema Road;
— Personal welfare check on the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Harassing phone call on the 2100 block of Habersham Road;
— Theft by taking on the 2400 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Suspicious auto on the 300 block of Azalea Boulevard;
— Speeding auto on the 4400 block of Gravel Hill Road;
— Burglary on the 2500 block of Imperial Street.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least five calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Animal rescue on the 2300 block of East Doublegate Drive;
— EMS assists on the 2400 block of Osler Court and the 2000 block of Gail Avenue;
— Dumpster fire on the 200 block of Adelyn Road;
— Unauthorized burning on the 2400 block of Jewel Street;
— Water or steam leaks on the 500 block of Hickory Lane and the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 63 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included four chest pain calls, 10 respiratory issue calls, one abdominal pain call, two unknown problem calls, two fainting calls, one stroke call, three diabetic issue calls, one labor issue call, two cardiac arrest calls, one abnormal behavior call and 20 general sickness calls. Trauma calls included four auto accidents, seven falls and one laceration. Other types of calls included one stand-by for APD, two medical alert activations and one stand-by for a Civic Center event.
