ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 72 calls on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the early hours of Monday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Battery on the 1100 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 500 block of Whippoorwill Road, the 2200 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 500 block of Cherry Avenue, the 2800 block of Old Dawson Road, the 700 block of West Third Avenue, the 1100 block of Newton Road and the 200 block of South Davis Street;
— Aggravated assault on the 1400 block of Gillespie Avenue;
— Possession of marijuana on the 500 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Burglaries on the 1200 block of North McKinley Street, the 2800 block of Partridge Drive, the 2500 block of Schley Avenue, the 3200 block of Winterwood Avenue, the 900 block of South Madison Street, the 400 block of Alice Avenue, the 2200 block of South Jackson Street and the 1800 block of Schley Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 400 block of Cannon Circle, the 400 block of Lowell Lane, the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 900 block of Corn Avenue, the 1300 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 400 block of Gaines Avenue, the 500 block of Deer Court, the 100 block of College Drive, the 300 block of South Mock Road, the 400 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 1500 block of Sixth Avenue and the 500 block of Fifth Avenue;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 2200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 2600 block of Dawson Road, the 500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 800 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Terroristic threats and acts on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue, the 400 block of Cannon Circle and the 600 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Public indecency on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Criminal damage to property on the 1200 block of Mulberry Avenue, the 1200 block of West Highland Avenue, the 400 block of Cannon Circle and the 400 block of West Fourth Avenue;
— Credit card fraud on the 700 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Discharging firearms on the 600 block of the Liberty Expressway.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least nine calls on Sunday and the early hours of Monday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Contact person on the 2200 block of Duitman Road;
— Theft by taking on the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Assist another agency on the 7800 block of Newton Road;
— Discharging firearm on the 2200 block of Duitman Road;
— Auto accidents on the 2100 block of Cordele Road and the 1800 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Suspicious auto on the 100 block of Georgia Power Road;
— Animal call on the 800 block of Branch Road;
— Assist motorist on the 1600 block of Moultrie Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 17 calls on Sunday and the early hours of Monday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— EMS assists on the 1900 block of Palmyra Road, the 900 block of Lippitt Drive and the 400 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Cooking fires on the 1800 block of Devon Drive and the 1300 block of 10th Avenue;
— Building fires on the 700 block of Pine Glen Drive, the 700 block of Bonny View Avenue and the 1000 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;
— Overheated motor on the 1000 block of University Street;
— Assist police department on the 1700 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Unauthorized burning on the 600 block of Bobbitt Drive;
— Smoke scare on the 1600 block of Moultrie Road;
— Water or steam leak on the 600 block of Louis Avenue;
— Arcing electrical on the 1500 block of Rena Avenue;
— Dumpster fire on the 400 block of Hickory Lane;
— Outside rubbish fire on the 1000 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;
— Auto accident at the intersection of Clark Avenue and the Liberty Expressway.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 47 calls on Sunday and the early hours of Monday, available reports indicate. Incidents included seven chest pain calls, nine respiratory issue calls, eight general sickness calls, one altered mental status call, one stroke call, two labor issue calls, one seizure call, one abnormal behavior call, one abnormal pain call, one lift assist call and one unknown problem call. Trauma calls included one overdose, six auto accidents, three falls and two assaults. Other types of calls included two medical alert activations.
