ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 17 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. The incidents included:
— Loitering on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— Criminal trespass on the 2000 block of Palmyra Road, the 1400 block of North Maple Street and the 200 block of Wells Avenue;
— Entering autos on the 600 block of North Davis Street and the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue;
— Financial card transaction fraud on the 700 block of Barkley Boulevard;
— Missing person on the 1600 block of Jean Avenue;
— Child in need of services, unruly, on the 900 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 1300 block of Clark Avenue, the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road, the 800 block of Cherry Avenue, the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue and the 2300 block of Jewel Street;
— Second-degree criminal damage to property on the 2600 block of Gillionville Road;
— Interfering with city officers prohibited on the 1100 block of Newton Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 13 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. The incidents included:
— Assistance to motorists on the 4000 block of Sylvester Highway and the 6500 block of Leary Road;
— Criminal trespass on the 3200 block of Ridgeway Drive;
— Auto accidents on the 1900 block of Moultrie Road and the intersection of Liberty Expressway and Holly Drive;
— Animal calls on the 1200 block of Nixon Drive and the 3300 block of Thomas Road;
— Trees down on the 2200 block of Duitman Road, the 1100 block of Mud Creek Road and the intersection of Eight Mile Road and Gillionville Road;
— Family violence on the 2300 block of South County Line Road;
— Suspicious auto on the 100 block of Bramblewood Street;
— Traffic arrest/wanted person at the intersection of Liberty Expressway and Williamsburg Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. The incidents included:
— Unauthorized burning on the 500 block of Cherry Avenue;
— Motor vehicle accident on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— EMS assistance on the 1700 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Power line down on the 1500 block of Cora Jinks Lane;
— Extrication of victim(s) at the intersection of West Oakridge Drive and Newton Road;
— Building fire on the 600 block of Pointe North Boulevard;
— Electrical arcing on the 1100 block of Joel Drive;
— Medical assistance on the 1900 block of Palmyra Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 64 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate.
The medical calls included five chest pains, one back pain, one choking, one man down, two respiratory issues, 28 general sicknesses, four altered mental statuses, two strokes, two diabetic issues, one seizure and two cardiac arrests. The trauma calls included nine auto accidents, one fall and one gunshot/stabbing. Other calls included three medical alert activations.
