ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 19 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Interfering with city officers prohibited on the 200 block of Canal Street and the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Possession of spice/synthetic marijuana/cannabinoids on the 600 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Improper lane change on the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Entering automobile on the 300 block of South Jackson Street;
— Thefts by taking on the 3300 block of Westgate Drive, the 600 block of Roadway Street, the 600 block of West Second Avenue, the 1300 block of East Tift Avenue and the 1800 block of Seay Court;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
— Criminal trespasses on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue, the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 1200 block of Augusta Drive;
— Home invasion on the 1300 block of Edgerly Avenue;
— Public indecency on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— DUI on the 600 block of North Monroe Street;
— Obstruction of law enforcement officers on the 400 block of Blaylock Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 12 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Burglary of residences on the 800 block of the Liberty Expressway Southeast and the 2500 block of Hibiscus Road;
— Suspicious person on the 1700 block of Lily Pond Road;
— Personal welfare checks on the 100 block of Pinson Road, the 5800 block of Newton Road and the 3700 block of Fleming Road;
— Burglary in process on the 100 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Theft by taking on the 3500 block of Moultrie Road;
— Auto accidents on the 100 block of County Line Road, the 2500 block of Big Oak Court, and the 3600 block of Spring Flats Road;
— Burglary of a business on the 400 block of Pine Bluff Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 14 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Animal rescues on the 3100 block of Graystone Lane and the 2400 block of Dawson Road;
— EMS assists on the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard, the 1200 block of Sixth Avenue and the 4900 block of Van Cise Lane;
— Unauthorized burning on the 6000 block of Jenkins Road;
— Motor vehicle accidents on the corner of Nottingham Way and Whispering Pines Road and on the 700 block of the Liberty Expressway Southeast;
— Brush or brush-and-grass fires on the 500 block of Don Sutler Sr. Drive and the 100 block of Chehaw Park Road;
— Building fires on the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive and the 2300 block of Threadneedle Court;
— Cooking fire on the 1800 block of Dawson Road;
— Arcing, shorted electrical on the 400 block of Edgewood Lane.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 56 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included four chest pain calls, four abdominal pain calls, one back pain call, seven respiratory issue calls, 14 general sickness calls, two faint calls, one stroke call, one diabetic call, two OB calls, two seizure calls, two abnormal behavior calls and one various medical call. Trauma calls included six auto accident calls, two falls, two lacerations, two assaults, one fire and one traumatic injury. Other types of calls included one medical alert activation.
