ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 14 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— Aggravated assault on the 1200 block of Avalon Avenue;

— Animal complaint on the 500 block of 10th Avenue;

— Thefts by taking on the 400 block of South Slappey Boulevard, the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 1900 block of Elkhorn Lane;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Battery on the 1200 block of Baker Avenue, the 900 block of Corn Avenue and the 1000 block of Radium Springs Road;

— Burglary on the 900 block of Cedar Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 600 block of Sands Drive and the 800 block of Corn Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 200 block of West Third Avenue and the 1000 block of University Street.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least six calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— Traffic arrest at the intersection of Radium Springs Road and East Oakridge Drive;

— Abandoned autos at the intersection of Hill Road and Clark Avenue and the 2100 block of Cordele Road;

— Suspicious auto on the 3700 block of Old Mill Road;

— Assist motorist on the 4300 block of Sylvester Highway;

— Fraud on the 3200 block of Sylvester Highway.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:

— EMS assists on the 300 block of Rosser Lane, the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 600 block of Sands Drive;

— Authorized controlled burn on the 3000 block of Sylvester Highway;

— Arcing electrical on the 800 block of Jefferson Street;

— Animal rescue on the 1500 block of the Liberty Expressway;

— Grass fire on the 1000 block of Old Pretoria Road;

— Cooking fire on the 900 block of West Third Avenue;

— Smoke removal on the 2700 block of Spelman Drive;

DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 51 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included six chest pain calls, seven respiratory issue calls, two abdominal pain calls, two fainting calls, one diabetic issue call, one labor call, three seizure calls, two mental health calls and 12 general sickness calls. Trauma calls included four auto accidents, four falls, one assault, one gunshot victim and two animal bites. Other types of calls included two medical alert activations and one stand-by event at the Albany Civic Center.
