ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 27 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Thefts by taking on the 900 block of West Second Avenue, the 500 block of Rosenburg Street, the 800 block of Radium Springs Road, the 1100 block of Newton Road, the 600 block of Bonny View Avenue and the 2000 block of Juniper Drive;
— Aggravated assaults on the 700 block of Colquitt Circle and the 1700 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 1900 block of West Highland Avenue and the 600 block of Springfield Drive;
— Interfering with officers on the 300 block of Grant Place and the 300 block of Cordele Road;
— Possession of marijuana on the 2000 block of McIntosh Road;
— Entering auto on the 1000 block of Summitt Drive;
— Battery on the 1200 block of East Residence Avenue;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 1400 block of Dawson Road;
— Identity theft on the 1300 block of Gillespie Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 600 block of North Jefferson Street;
— Criminal damage to property on the 100 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Child abuse on the 1400 block of Newton Road;
— Public indecency on the 2000 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Financial transaction card fraud on the 900 block of Lippitt Drive;
— Obstruction of law enforcement officers on the 600 block of Sands Drive;
— Injured person on the 2400 block of South Jackson Street;
— Theft by deception on the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Theft of property on the 100 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Stalking on the 2300 block of Threadneedle Court.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 14 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Animals at large on the 2700 block of Upland Court, the 4200 block of Pate Street and the 2800 block of Spring Flats Road;
— Miscellaneous call on the 1500 block of Grand Cypress Lane;
— Suspicious persons on the 3600 block of Council Road, the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway and the intersection of the Liberty Expressway and North Jefferson Street;
— Family violence on the 3400 block of Blue Springs Road;
— Deceased person on the 1200 block of South East Liberty Expressway;
— Bank escort on the 700 block of Philema Road;
— Fraud on the 2100 block of Habersham Road;
— Unknown problem on the 3400 block of Blue Springs Road;
— Auto accident on the 100 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Disorderly conduct on the 2300 block of South East Liberty Expressway.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— EMS assists on the 1200 block of South East Liberty Expressway, the 5200 block of Hill Road and the 600 block of Longbow Drive;
— Animal rescue on the 2300 block of Pembroke Drive;
— Smoke detector activation on the 1000 block of Butternut Avenue;
— Brush fire on the 1100 block of Augusta Drive;
— Arcing electrical on the 1000 block of North Madison Street;
— Smoke odor removal on the 1700 block of Dawson Road;
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 61 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included four chest pain calls, four respiratory issue calls, four altered mental state calls, three stroke victim calls, two diabetic issue calls, two seizure calls, two labor calls, two miscellaneous pain calls, two cardiac arrest calls, one faint call, one mental health call and 22 various medical calls. Trauma calls included six falls, two auto accidents, two assaults and one laceration. Other types of calls included one medical alert call.
