ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 22 calls on Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. Incidents included:
— Aggravated assault on the 1300 block of Ninth Avenue;
— Battery on the 1100 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Burglary in the first degree, non-forced, on the 1700 block of Gadsden Drive;
— Burglary in the second degree on the 400 block of Hodges Avenue;
— Criminal trespass on the 1300 block of South Van Buren Street, the 700 block of Markley Boulevard and the 1500 block of North Monroe Street;
— Discharging firearms on the 1100 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Financial transaction card fraud on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— No insurance on the 100 block of Philema Road, the 1700 block of Gillionville Road and the 200 block of Blaylock Street;
— Obstruction of law enforcement officers on the 900 block of Holloway Avenue;
— Pedestrian soliciting ride or business on the 1500 block of West Third Avenue;
— Simple battery on the 1200 block of Westwood Drive;
— Speeding on the 2200 block of Nottingham Road;
— Theft on the 600 block of Pinecrest Drive;
— Thefts by taking, motor vehicle, on the 1300 block of South Davis Street and the 2200 block of South Washington Street;
— Theft of lost or mislaid property on the 200 block of Cordele Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 10 calls on Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. Incidents included:
— Auto accidents at the intersection of the Liberty Expressway Southeast and Nelms Road and the 2300 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Criminal trespass on the 1800 block of Oakhaven Drive and the 1900 block of Oakhaven Drive;
— Family violence on the 500 block of Nectar Lane;
— Suspicious auto at the intersection of Cordele Road and Doles Road;
— Suspicious persons on the 100 block of Luke Drive, the intersection of Philema Road and Chehaw Park Road, and the 5800 block of Newton Road;
— Traffic stop on the 1500 block of Lily Pond Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least nine calls on Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. Incidents included a grass fire, an unauthorized burning, an alarm activation, assistance to law enforcement, EMS assistance and extrication of victims from a vehicle.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to a total of 60 calls Wednesday, available reports show, including 44 medical calls, 14 trauma calls, one APD stand-by and one medical alert activation. Medical calls included three chest pain calls, eight respiratory issues, 20 general sickness calls, three abdominal pains/problems, one allergic reaction/sting, one back pain, three seizures, one mental health/abnormal behavior call and four unknown problems/men down calls. Trauma calls included five auto accidents, seven falls, one laceration and one traumatic injury.
