ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is looking for a suspect who is wanted in connection to a shooting incident that occurred Tuesday.

Phyllis Banks, a spokeswoman for the APD, said that on Tuesday, Germaine Stephens, 37, got into an altercation on the 600 block of Burke Avenue with the victim of an armed robbery that occurred in September. During the altercation, police said, the suspect fired several shots at the victim, striking only the victim’s vehicle.

Police said in the lookout bulletin that Stephens is being charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His last known address is listed as 1305 S. McKinley St., and he is described as a black male who is 5-foot-8 in height and weighs 133 pounds.

Police said Stephens also goes by the alias “Teddy Bear.”
