ALBANY — The Albany Police Department has arrested one suspect in connection to a string of auto break-ins, but two other suspects got away.

According to reports, officers responded to Holland Drive Friday after receiving calls in reference to three black males breaking into vehicles in the area.

Uniformed officers were able to capture Katory Luster, 19, but two other suspects fled the scene, eluding officers.

“Luster was transported to the Law Enforcement Center, where he was interviewed,” APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks said. “After being interviewed, Luster was charged with entering an auto, and he was transported to the Dougherty County Jail. Detectives are expected to charge Luster with approximately three more entering autos, which occurred on Montego Court, Amsterdam Lane and Mobile Avenue.”

Anyone with information as to the identities of the other suspects involved is asked to call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477).
