Albany police investigating early morning armed robbery at local business
Suspects sought in connection of Flash Foods armed robbery

ALBANY — Detectives with the Albany Police Department (APD) are investigating an armed robbery today, after a man brandishing a gun attempted to rob the Flash Foods at 2447 N. Slappey Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
According to APD reports, witnesses said an armed man entered the convenience store shortly before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and demanded money, before jumping behind the counter to open the register.
Unable to force the register open, the man reportedly left the building and got into a gray car, according to another witness who was standing outside.
Further APD reports state that later in the morning uniformed officers detained two suspects after stopping a vehicle that fit the description of the car, but no arrests have been made.
