Main number, fax to change for Albany Public Works effective Friday

ALBANY — The public works office for the city of Albany is changing its phone number later this week.
Officials said the Albany Public Works department phone number will change effective Friday. The current main number, (229) 883-6950, will change to (229) 302-1800. At the same time, the current fax number, (229) 430-3868, will change to (229) 302-1834.
When this change occurs, the four existing numbers will be answered temporarily by a recording announcing the change.
At the same time, three numbers will be eliminated: Street Division, (229) 883-6610; Sewer Division, (229) 883-8998, and Solid Waste Division, (229) 435-4166.
