Albany Tractor Supply store to host pet adoption event on June 16

ALBANY — On June 16, the Albany Tractor Supply Co. store and Best Friends Humane Society are teaming up to make it easier for people to bring home a furry friend.

From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., customers are invited to attend a pet adoption event at the Tractor Supply store. The event also consists of a cookout, pony rides and pony painting. Best Friends Humane Society, Happy Trails of SOWEGA and Food Truck Madness will be on hand with adoptable cats and dogs looking for a good home.

The pet adoption event is one way the Tractor Supply store — which sells pet food, treats, toys, crates, carriers, training tools and health supplements — plans to support the humane society. The store is partnering with the humane society to support its animal adoption program.

“Through this Adoption Grant, we will provide Best Friends Humane Society with resources to help maintain and grow their program,” Robert Carter, manager of the Albany Tractor Supply store, said. “We’re passionate about animals at Tractor Supply, and we’re hopeful this partnership will encourage more local adoptions from Best Friends Humane Society and put deserving pets in loving homes.”
