Albany Utilities opening new centralized call center Monday
Center will handle calls to 311, customer service, revenue recovery and special services

ALBANY – Albany Utilities on Monday will open a centralized call center at 408 Flint Ave., behind the future Albany Utilities building on Pine Avenue.
The center will be operation 8 a.m.-5 p.m., utilities officials say.
The new facility will include representatives of the 311 call-ins, Customer Service, Revenue Recovery and Special Services. Utilities officials say all call center representatives have been cross-trained.
“We are excited about the transition to a full-service, state-of-the-art, one-stop consolidated call center, which will provide our customers with the first-class service that they deserve,” Mary Ann Petty, director of Administrative Services, said.
City officials said this is the second phase of the Albany Utilities’ move to the new location at 401 Pine Ave. following the the relocation of the drive-thru last year.
