Albany Woman’s Club names Woman of Year
The GFWC Albany Woman’s Club presented its Mother of the Year award at the club’s February meeting. Anne Parker, who raised three sons, was the recipient of the award. As her boys grew up, she said she enjoyed family trips and participating in their many activities. The Parkers’ oldest son died of cancer as an adult. Parker said that, among her many roles in her life, her role as a Christian mother is the most important. Her son, Steve, was able to surprise her by attending the luncheon meeting to see her get her award. (Special Photo)
