Alpha Pregnancy Center, Worth names new director of services
Lauana Bevel named director of services for Alpha Pregnancy Center of Worth County

SYLVESTER — Lauana Bevel has been named the new director of services at Alpha Pregnancy Center of Worth County.
Bevel, born in Phoenix, has lived with her husband, Ken Bevel, and their children in Albany for 10 years. Bevel grew up in Kansas City, Mo., and served as a Marine spouse for 15 years. Bevel said she felt that God led her to the position as director to show love and compassion to the families of Worth County and provide services for those in need.
Bevel recently has been volunteering as an advocate in the Albany Alpha Pregnancy Center, providing outreach to women with her “humble compassion, loving demeanor and Godly wisdom.”
Bevel’s new role as director began on April 3.
The Alpha Pregnancy Center’s Worth County hours are Tuesday from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The APC has four centers in Southwest Georgia. All APC centers offer free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, parenting classes, a partnering with fathers program and a diaper store.
