Armed robber hits Carmike Wynnsong Cinema in Albany
Gunman takes cash from Carmike Cinema

ALBANY — The Carmike Cinemas Wynnsong 16 theater in Albany was robbed by a masked gunman late Thursday night, according to the Albany Police Department.
Reports indicate that a black male, wearing a black shirt, black shorts, black socks and a black and white skull mask, entered the theater, located on 2823 Nottingham Way, around 11 p.m. Thursday.
Christopher Plante, 23, stated that the bandit came into the theater brandishing a handgun, came behind the counter and removed cash from the register.
According to the police report, the gunman then fled through the back door of the theater and jumped over a fence at the rear of the building.
The case has been turned over to investigators.
