Dougherty debris second pass to end Friday
County residents should place storm debris in right of way before deadline

ALBANY — The second pass of Hurricane Michael storm debris pickup in Dougherty County is scheduled to end Friday.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers crews began the second pass in the county on Jan.2. Dougherty residents are encouraged to place all remaining debris on the right-of-way of their property as soon as possible before the deadline to have their debris removed.
As of Dec. 30, more than 770,000 cubic yards of vegetative storm debris had been removed from the county. Across southwest Georgia, the Corps of Engineers has removed more than 3,795,000 cubic yards of debris from 13 counties assigned by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
