ALBANY — The Worth County Fire and Rescue Department responded to a fatal accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Highways 32 and 300.

“On February 1, 2017, at 4:22 p.m., Worth County Fire/Rescue EMA responded to a two-vehicle accident involving a semi and a light-duty pickup truck on the corner of Highway 300 and Highway 32 in Worth County,” said Jennifer Sheler of Worth Fire and Rescue. “WCFR provided extraction of the driver and hazardous material containment. The driver of the truck was DOA, and the semi was on its side, spewing peanuts, blocking both northbound lanes of 300.”

According to Georgia State Patrol officials, Mary Moore Clark, 52, died after her Chevy pickup collided with the semi.

“The driver of the semi was not injured,” said Sheler.

According to reports, Clark had a small dog with her, which was released to the Humane Society.
