Federal, Georgia officials seek public’s help in finding Hoganville bank robber
Gunman held up bank at gunpoint Monday afternoon

HOGANSVILLE –The FBI, GBI and Hoganville police are asking for help from the public as they search for a gunman who held up Community Bank and Trust around 4 p.m. Monday.
According to a news release from the FBI, a bandit armed with a dark-colored, semi-automatic handgun in his right hand entered the bank at 410 E. Main St. shortly after 4 p.m. Witnesses said the gunman pointed the weapon at bank employees, threatened them and demanded money.
Fearing for their lives, the news release said, the employees turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.
The gunman was observed before the robbery with a second man in a black SUV with chrome-spoked wheel wells, the FBI said.
The robber was described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 1 in height, with a thin build. He’s estimated to weigh 165-170 pounds and is believed to be in his mid- to late 40s. The holdup man was wearing dark-framed sunglasses, a dark-colored baseball cap, a blue and white-striped polo shirt, blue jeans and sneakers with light colored laces.
