ALBANY — Albany police were searching Saturday for an unknown suspect described as “a black male wearing a gray hoodie” after four men were shot at a West Roosevelt Avenue residence at around 12:30 a.m.

Police say the victims were attending a “college party.”

Albany Police Department officers who responded to the scene found Devontra Walker, 23, and Quentin Isler, 24, lying on the ground outside a residence at 311 W. Roosevelt Ave. The responding Albany police officer saw that Walker had been shot in the knee and Isler in the abdomen. Because there was a large crowd at the scene and considerable traffic leaving the area, the officer called for backup.

Dougherty County Police Department officers and Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene.

Walker and Isler were treated by Dougherty EMS personnel at the scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, officers responded to the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Emergency Center after receiving a report that two additional gunshot victims had arrived for medical treatment. There, they found that El-Shaddai Crawford, 19, and Tayvion Winchester, 18, had been shot in the hip and thigh, respectively. Crawford and Winchester said they had been inside the residence at 311 W. Roosevelt when shot.

During their investigation, Albany officers discovered that two vehicles had been damaged during the shooting. Shiiyon Jordan, 19, reported that his 2008 Dodge Avenger had a bullet hole in the rear bumper area of the vehicle, and Santo Nino, 23, reported a bullet hole in the passenger-side front door of his 2013 Dodge Charger.

Police said they are looking for the suspect, who left the scene carrying an unknown calibre weapon. The shooter’s vehicle was possibly a white Crown Victoria. None of the victims’ injuries appeared to be life threatening, according to police.
