ATLANTA — With winter storm warnings Wednesday that could bring 3-5 inches of snow to the Atlanta area, Gov. Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency effective at 2 p.m. in 50 northern counties.
In addition, the governor is ordering state offices in those counties to close at noon. The governor’s office said a news conference by the governor is scheduled for noon Wednesday as well.
