Hibbett’s employee robbed while leaving Albany Mall with deposit

ALBANY — A Hibbett Sports employee was robbed by a gunman Monday morning as the employee was leaving the Albany Mall store with a bank deposit, according to the Albany Police Department.
An APD news release stated the employee was leaving the mall around 10 a.m. to take a deposit to a bank when two armed men with their faces covered approached the employee, demanding the bank bag. The report states the gunmen fled on foot in an unknown direction.
An unknown amount of money was taken and no injuries were reported.
