ALBANY — Albany State University President Marion Fedrick announced that Kameron Causey has been named the director of the ASU Cordele Center.

Causey has nearly 20 years of experience as a health care professional. Her extensive experience is focused in program management based on her position as a program director and associate professor.

“Dr. Kameron Causey’s experience, leadership skills and ability to collaborate across multiple entities will make her an asset for this role,” Fedrick said in an ASU news release. “With ASU’s strategic plan as the guide, Dr. Casey will continue to advance the center’s mission, while ensuring its focus on increased enrollment, expanded academic programming, and strengthening external relationships.”

Causey earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia Southwestern State University. She went on to earn a doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Allied Health Sciences. More recently, she earned an additional doctoral degree in adult and career education from Valdosta State University.

She is a licensed physical therapist in the state of Georgia, holding memberships within the Georgia Consortium of Clinical Educators, American Physical Therapy Association, and Physical Therapist Association of Georgia. She also serves on the board of the Crisp County Community Council.

As director of the Albany State University Cordele Center, Causey will focus on increased enrollment through strategic recruitment efforts, expanding academic programming targeting local and regional work force needs, and strengthening relationships with community and organizational partners.
