LEESBURG — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding a county resident who is believed to have been missing since Saturday morning.

Authorities say family members of 55-year-old Charles Wendell Rose, who is also known by the nickname “Wendy,” are reporting that Rose has been missing since Saturday morning and that he was last seen in the Creekside Drive area of the county.

Rose is described as being 5 feet 6 and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

According to Lt. James “Jimmy” Jones of the Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division, authorities and Rose’s family are concerned about Rose and are asking anyone who might have information about his whereabouts to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (229) 759-6012.
