Oversized machinery for biomass plant nears Albany
Three pieces of equipment travel from Georgia port to Albany project site

An oversized load was nearing Albany Friday afternoon, headed to the biomass project under construction adjacent to the Albany Procter & Gamble plant. These photos were taken about 10 miles east of Albany as it moved westward on U.S. Highway 82. The convoy, which left Brunswick Wednesday morning, included three pieces of machinery that required the use of both lanes for westbound traffic. The convoy, which had to travel slower than normal and required the use of support trucks to enable it to pass under overhead utility lines, pulled over periodically to left traffic pass.
