Patrol car smashes into a Chevrolet

A patrol car with sirens screaming and blue lights flashing was headed east on Oglethorpe Boulevard when it smashed into a Chevrolet Malibu going north on Monroe Street before 7:45 p.m. Friday, stated an Albany Police Department report.
Carlisle Kendricks, 19, and Disheba Kendricks, 37, were in the Malibu, according to the report. Carlisle Kendricks has been discharged from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said. No information was available from the hospital on Disheba Kendricks.
Police officers Benjamin Persley and Christopher Baltenberger were in the patrol car on the way to a hold-up alarm at National Beer and Wine when they crashed. No word was available on their condition.
The investigation came under the jurisdiction of the Georgia State Patrol. No further information was immediately available.
